    The number of unaccompanied children seeking refugee protection in Scotland more than doubled between 2018 and 2019, figures from the Scottish Guardianship Service show. Last year the service helped 165 children, up from 81 who arrived in 2018.

  • New Council of Europe Handbook for Local Authorities on Human Rights

    A new human rights handbook has been launched by the Council of Europe's Congress of Local and Regional Authorities. The handbook encourages local authorities to promote human rights in their policies and sets out many examples of good practice.
