Refuweegee is looking to fill welcome packs for children with donated age-appropriate toys and books, school stationery, toothbrushes, hats, scarfs and gloves. Alongside this, donations are encouraged to gift a homage to Scotland – whether it be a packet of Tunnocks teacakes or a can of IrnBru!

Donations can be dropped off at Refuweegee’s premises at 1 Cadogan Square, Glasgow. Alternatively, requested items can also be donated remotely, via Refuweegee’s wishlist on Amazon or its gift registry on Common Good.

The UK government has agreed to resettle 20,000 Afghan refugees over the next five years, with 5,000 to be welcomed this year. These packs aim to welcome refugees with an initial gesture of kindness to all those arriving in Scotland.
