Our Future Health, the UK’s largest health research programme in partnership with the NHS is bringing mobile clinics to communities across Scotland to make it easier for people to take part in health research.

Health research has not always included everyone equally, with people from minority ethnic groups, lower-income households and communities outside major cities often under-represented. This can mean that medical discoveries do not benefit all communities equally. The new clinics will reduce the need to travel long distances for appointments, helping more people take part. Volunteers can share information about their health and lifestyle, helping researchers understand how diseases develop and differ between people from different backgrounds.
