The Committee of the Rights of the Child highlighted in the 2023 Concluding Observations for the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, that children affected by imprisonment are to be given appropriate support regarding care and financial matters. In their response the Scottish Government committed to secure the support they need and making it possible that families are able to stay connected wherever possible, working with organisation such as Families Outside to understand and best support the families impacted.  This new resource from Families Outside provides an important source of support for these families.
