Climate School 180 (CS180) is a UK-wide project helping schools bring climate change education and outdoor learning into everyday teaching. Launched in 2023 by Learning through Landscapes (LtL) in partnership with the University of Stirling, the initiative focuses on turning climate challenges into opportunities for learning and action.
The project supports schools to understand how climate change affects their grounds and to explore nature-based solutions, all while fostering “constructive hope” among pupils and teachers. By combining climate education with outdoor play and activities, CS180 aims to make lessons more engaging and meaningful.
Two years on, Project Manager Holly Willmott says the work is already making a difference inspiring educators, empowering young people, and showing how schools can be part of the solution to climate change.
