Befriending Week will take place from 1^st to 7^th November 2025, celebrating the positive impact of befriending on individuals and communities across the UK.

Befriending week is a national campaign, launched by Befriending Networks in 2012, to highlights the role of volunteers and staff in tackling isolation and building stronger connections. It is also a time to reflect on achievements, thank those involved, and share the value of befriending with the public, government and stakeholders.

Throughout the week, resources and events will be available to support local groups, including Befriending Networks’ Annual Conference. Everyone is encouraged to get involved and help raise awareness of the power of befriending, whether in person or at a distance.
