Youth workers are encouraged to use the Framework when working with  young people. It seeks to help young people identify and track the skills they want to and have developed through their participation in youth work. It aims to provide a structure for reviewing and tracking these learning goals.

There are lots of examples to demonstrate the links between skills young people may want to develop and what this could look like in reality. For example, developing relationship skills may look like a young person can participate safely and effectively in groups and teams.
