Wheel of Apps- For learners with complex additional support needs

The 'Wheel of Apps' identifies and categories apps available on an iPad which can be a useful tool for teaching and learning for both primary and secondary aged learners with complex additional support needs.

The apps listed support the learning and teaching of children who have ‘complex support needs’ this can be used to describe children with multiple barriers to learning such as communication, cognition, sensory (vision & hearing) and physical.

The apps are categorised according to skills and topics, which are:

• Creativity
• Self-regulation of emotions and routines
• Communication
• Emergent literacy
• Emergent numeracy
• Cognition
