The Equality and Human Rights Performance Framework is a free online resource developed to improve performance and effectiveness by approaching things from an equality and human rights-based perspective.

It has been developed by a group of third sector organisations, including SCVO.

The Framework highlights that voluntary organisations have to be more innovative and resourceful than ever. We must build on what we do well, identify what we can do better, reach diverse audiences and motivate talented staff and volunteers. We must root all our work in our values and involve the people we work with in shaping what we do. And we must meet standards set by commissioners, regulators and the law.

The Equality and Human Rights Framework aims to help you meet the challenges above. Designed in an easy-to-use modular format, the Framework contains resources, guidance, case studies and information designed by the voluntary sector for the voluntary sector covering:

  • Involving people
  • Providing services
  • Employing people
  • Working with volunteers
  • Campaigning, advocacy and policy work
  • Funding and finance
