In advance of the Parliamentary debate held on 28th January 2014 to discuss the recommendations in the Public Petitions Committee inquiry report into child sexual exploitation (CSE), some of Together's members prepared Parliamentary briefings.
Scotland's children's sector welcomed the inquiry and subsequent debate, and as the organisation which submitted the original petition, Barnardo's commended the Public Petitions Committee for their dedication and hard work on taking forward this issue.
The briefings indicated key areas from the report to highlight for the debate and the SCCYP report offered observations framed around children's rights to ensure that Scotland's response to CSE reflects the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
