This guide has been produced to provide facts and figures alongside case studies of real experience for anyone who is looking for information on poverty in the UK.

It provides a snapshot of some of the main misconceptions around poverty and unpacks some of the myths to help increase awareness and understanding of the real causes of poverty so that we can work towards finding the solutions based on these realities.

This is a quick reference guide and does not aim to provide a full overview of the issues of poverty therefore we have included a contact list of organisations and websites that can provide more in depth information on the issues covered here as well as wider areas.
