SCRA has launched a new short film aimed at helping young people with autism attending Children’s Hearings.

The film, starring a young person from the charity Reach for Autism, explains the different stages of the Children’s Hearing procedure. It also shows that children and young people with autism and sensory issues can ask for alterations before and after the Hearing, as well as in the Hearing room, to make it as easy as possible for them to communicate their needs.

This film is hoped to be a useful resource both for children and young people and their carers, attending Hearings.
