The guide aims to strengthen child protection responses and includes a focus on child victims of trafficking and children at risk.

Through a set of “10 actions” the guide provides:

  • Practical suggestions on how to identify, refer and support children
  • Information on how to implement children’s rights in practice, such as the right to be heard, and how to ensure their best interests are met when making decisions
  • Practical information to enhance cooperation between countries.
  • Practical information on support offered by EU agencies.
