Who Cares? Scotland
A new and updated corporate parenting resource kit is available alongside a range of resources and information relating to looked after children and care leavers and the duties on corporate parents and professionals.
The resources are available on the Corporate Parenting website which outlines what corporate parenting is; provides access to training and materials; a learning zone and information on the latest campaigns and news.
Corporate parenting is the formal partnership needed between all local authority departments, services and associated agencies responsible for meeting the needs of looked after children and young people. The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, which will come into force next year, means that the list of corporate parents in Scotland has been expanded.
