UNICEF Annual Report 2010

Date: 4th July 2011
Category: General measures of implementation
Author: UNICEF

Annual Report 2010 highlights UNICEF's contributions to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2010 by providing assistance towards improving children's health, expanding access to quality education and protecting children's rights in more than 150 countries and territories, including in places of crisis.

The report emphasises how UNICEF is reorienting its programming to better meet the needs of the most deprived and marginalised children. This has involved the development of equity-focused strategies that aim to improve service provision and use by reducing barriers resulting from geographical location, income poverty and lack of awareness.
