Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People has created five 'rights workshops' with creative extras to help children and young people understand more about their rights.

These resources are free and are available in hard copy from the office downloaded from the website. There are two packs, one for children up to the age of 11 and another for 12 and over. There is a mixture of drama, role play and games coupled with more formal activities.

Facilitators can pick and choose which to do depending on their setting and some children and young people may want to have a go at facilitating a session themselves. Using the resources should ensure that children and young people are well prepared for a nationwide vote on the issues that affect their lives. The results from the vote which will be held throughout November 2010 will inform the Commissioner's work priorities.
