Martin Whitfield MSP laid a motion before the Scottish Parliament on the one-year anniversary of the passage of the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill. The motion requests Scottish Government to set out a timescale for the Bill’s reconsideration. The motion has received cross-party support and will soon be debated.

Scottish Government has said the payment will double from £10 to £20 a week by April 2022. It will then rise to £25 per week by the end of the year. This benefit will be extended to under-16s by the end of 2022.
