NatureScot has officially opened the 2026 Future Routes for Nature Fund, a youth‑designed, youth‑led programme giving 11 to 26‑year‑olds across Scotland the chance to turn their boldest nature ideas into real‑world action.

Whether it’s boosting biodiversity, reconnecting young people with the outdoors, or tackling the climate and nature crises head‑on, the fund is all about empowering Scotland’s next generation of environmental leaders.

Created by young people, for young people, the fund welcomes applications from individuals or teams with creative, ambitious projects that help others engage with nature in meaningful ways. The goal: spark fresh ideas, amplify youth voices, and support hands‑on action that makes a tangible difference for Scotland’s environment.

Applications are open until 19 June 2026.
