Across the UK, too many children in separated families are missing out on the financial support they need, and the system designed to help them is falling short. One Parent Families Scotland, Fife Gingerbread and IPPR Scotland present their recommendations for a system that is fairer, safer and easier to navigate for all separated families.

Their joint report sets out practical reforms that would transform the Child Maintenance System, improve support outside it, update the payment formula and more — making the system work better for everyone. This could reach over 2 million and lift around 210,000 children out of poverty.

The letter is open for signatures until the 16th March.
