In just two weeks, Together will launch its new Strategic Plan for 2024-32. The new plan will guide everything that we do to ensure Scotland implements its latest ‘to do list’ from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.

The new Strategic Plan is the result of ongoing research and engagement with our members and extensive mapping of what children and young people have already shared about their experiences of their rights. The new plan will guide all of Together’s activities until 2032, when we expect the UK to have its next review by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. This review will check up on what progress the UK and Scotland have made – as well as looking at any new children’s rights developments or challenges that may have arisen.

We will launch our new strategic plan online on 26th March 2024. Later that day, we are excited to join children, young people, Together members and MSPs at a parliamentary reception to celebrate the countdown to the UNCRC Incorporation Act 2024 entering into force and how this historic Act can help Scotland progress the actions on it’s ‘to do list’ from the UN.

We are delighted that Ann Skelton, Chair of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, will be joining us to celebrate alongside children and young people who have been campaigning so passionately for stronger protection of their rights.
