The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) calls for submissions that would help prepare the report on “Realizing the rights of the child through a healthy environment”.
The report will inform the 2020 Human Rights Council’s annual meeting on the rights of the child which will be focused on this topic. It will address, among other issues:
- the main environmental risks
- state accountability, obligations of the State and businesses’ responsibility, and
- good practices to prevent environmental degradation.
The general call for submissions is open until the 8th October 2019.
