The Environment Secretary and Henry Dimbleby, commissioned to conduct an independent review, have launched a Call for Evidence to inform the National Food Strategy.

Aspects of the review will include food production, marketing, sale and consumption. With the review intended to provide an opportunity to shape the food system so that healthy and sustainable diets are accessible for everyone, including children and young people.

The purpose of this Call for Evidence is to gather inspiration for transforming the current food system and it is looking for ideas big and small from individual citizens, practitioners, businesses, NGOs, trade associations and any other organisations with an interest in the field.

A summary of the responses will be published on the government website 12 weeks after the consultation closes.
