Between 18th January and 1st February, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child held its 80th session.
Alongside OHCHR, ILO, IOM, WHO, UNICEF and UNHCR, a statement was made by Child Rights Connect to highlight how empowering the 2018 Day of General Discussion was for child human rights defenders and stressed the importance of the close partnership with the Committee and of using the convention’s 30th anniversary year to put child participation in the spotlight.
