LGBT Manifesto 2016

Date: 2nd March 2016
Category: Non-discrimination, Civil Rights and Freedoms

Last week, Stonewall Scotland released their Manifesto aiming to put LGBT equality at the heart of a changing Scotland.

The Manifesto includes the experiences of LGBT young people in education and calls for a long term strategy to tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying in schools, and proper action to ensure teachers are supporting LGBT young people. It also calls for young trans people to be legally recognised in their acquired gender, which is currently not the case until they are over the age of 18.
