SHRC develop Strategic Plan

Date: 14th October 2015
Category: General principles

The Scottish Human Rights Commission is developing its Strategic Plan for 2016-2020. To help us set our priorities and improve how we work, we would like to hear from people and organisations from across Scotland's diverse communities.

The consultation document (available below) describes the Commission, its powers and duties, and some of the main work they have done since 2008. It sets out three questions to help guide the SHRC's next Strategic Plan and they are inviting stakeholders to share their views on these points.

The closing date for comments is 20 November 2015.

If you have any questions about the consultation, please contact hello@scottishhumanrights.com

The SHRC are also hosting a series of consultation events across Scotland in Aberdeen, Galashiels, Clydebank and Shetland.

These events will discuss:

- the Commission's role and powers;
- what the SHRC have achieved so far, including progress on Scotland's National Action Plan on Human Rights;
- What the focus of the Commission's future work should be.

If you would like to attend any of these events, you can do so via Eventbrite registration.

Alternatively you can call the Commission office on 0131 240 2989. If you have any questions about the consultation or the events, please email hello@scottishhumanrights.com
