xSCCYP scoping exercise: children and young people with disabilities

Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People is mapping existing areas of work specifically relating to disabled children and young people and their families, and is asking for your input.
Last September, Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People (SCCYP) held a conference to bring together practitioners and families to discuss the issues raised by Professor Kirsten Stalker's report, 'It Always Comes Down to Money'. The report was commissioned by SCCYP to consider recent changes in service provision for disabled children, young people and their families in Scotland.
Following the conference, SCCYP has collated the feedback raised by conference participants and cross-referenced this with the recommendations raised by Professor Stalker's report, (and others produced by SCCYP), to begin to develop upcoming work streams for 2015.
SCCYP would like your help to map existing areas of work in the specific areas highlighted in a table which lists feedback and recommendations (link below). This will help to avoid unnecessary duplication and identify where there are gaps to address together. The final column 'ongoing/current work in this area' is blank for your input. Please fill in this column to indicate:
o Whether your organisation, or others that you are aware of, are working towards meeting any of the recommendations.
o Any gaps that you are aware of.
o Any areas where the SCCYP office can help to further existing work.
The exercise is not intended to be a time-consuming or fully comprehensive task, but merely indicative of ongoing work to support and call for change for disabled children and young people and their families in Scotland.
