Out of School Care Workforce Survey 2013

Date: 14th June 2013
Category: Education, Leisure and Cultural Activities

Now in its sixth year, the Scottish Out of School Care Network's (SOSCN) annual out of school care workforce survey has been launched, and is an established and anticipated piece of research which allows a more informed picture of the workforce in out of school care.

The analysed data from this survey is invaluable to SOSCN and the sector as a whole, including individual services, the government (nationally, locally and internationally), training/qualification providers (nationally and internationally) and regulatory bodies. The results provide baseline data about the workforce and also allow for comparisons with other sectors, and/or other countries. Such information is often useful in research projects and funding bids.

SOSCN would encourage all staff working in out of to school care to participate in this survey as the more returns they receive, the more accurate the information is.

This year, surveys can either be completed by the usual paper copy, or online here.

The SOSCN is a Scottish charity and is the leading voice for school-aged childcare in Scotland. It's work promotes equal opportunities and children's rights according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
