Young Writers Awards

Aimed at young people aged 14 to 17 in Scotland, these Awards give young people the opportunity to work with a professional writer, helping them to improve their writing and learn more about the publishing industry.

The Awards will also give young people the chance to work with like-minded young writers, helping to boost confidence and skills.

As part of their application young people are asked to submit a sample of their writing which should be up to 2000 words of prose of six to eight poems. More details about the writing sample can be found on the application form along with further information about the awards.
