xWebinar on the Realities of Children in Street Situations
Date: 4th June 2026
Time: 12.30pm-2pm (BST)
Location: Online
Organised by the FAAI (Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil International) and Apprentis d’Auteuil, in collaboration with local partners, this webinar will present the key findings from a newly released study on children in street situations in Central Africa.
A central place will be given to the voices and lived experiences of these children. In particular, Amadou, a former street-connected child, will share messages from children to decision-makers. Bringing together affected young people, alongside Hon. Sabrina Gahar, Chair of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC); Mama Fatima Singhateh, former United Nations Special Rapporteur on the sale and sexual exploitation of children; and representatives of local organisations from Congo and Cameroon, the webinar will provide a platform to identify concrete solutions to better protect and support children in street situations.
This webinar is available in French and English, simultaneously interpreted.
