My Health, my Rights Conference 2026

Date: 2nd October 2026
Time: 8:30-4:30pm
Location: Stirling Court Hotel, Stirling

Cost: £149

Children’s Health Scotland is marking its 50th anniversary with a landmark conference and the launch of its new National Health Rights Report.

The event, themed My Health, My Rights, will focus on children and young people’s right to health and their experiences of accessing healthcare. It builds on decades of work by Children’s Health Scotland to promote the rights and wellbeing of children, including its Parental Access and Family Facilities Report, first published in 1985.

The conference has been created with and for children, young people and families and will be led by Children’s Health Scotland’s Health Rights Defenders. This group of children and young people use their own experiences of healthcare to raise awareness, influence policy and help ensure that children understand and can access their rights to health, education and wellbeing.

The event will highlight Article 24 of the UNCRC, which recognises every child’s right to the highest attainable standard of health. It will explore how children’s health rights can be upheld across hospitals, healthcare settings, schools, homes and communities

Attendees will gain practical ideas to use in their work, a better understanding of children’s health rights, opportunities to connect with others across the sector and the chance to contribute to meaningful and lasting change.
