YouthLink Scotland’s new manifesto asks Scotland’s political parties to commit to three key policy asks ahead of the upcoming election.

The three asks are:

  • Make access to youth work opportunities a right for young people
  • Increase investment in the youth work sector at a Scottish Government and local authority level
  • Formally recognise youth work within the strategies and policies of Scottish Government and local authorities.

YouthLink Scotland writes that a failure to commit to these policy asks will mean young people continue to be disproportionality impacted by the ongoing impact of Covid-19 and lockdown restrictions.
