CELCIS has gathered examples of how people are meeting the challenges brought on by this public health emergency in order to inform and inspire others.

Many people across Scotland are continuing to support children and young people and their families at this time, adapting in order to respond with care and protection where this is needed.

The pandemic has resulted in unprecedented challenges for frontline workers and they in turn have responded with creativity, compassion and communication to find new and alternative, innovative ways of working.

The available examples have been gathered into eight themes:

  • Sustaining relationships
  • Continuing care
  • Participation and voice
  • Creativity and care
  • Digital exclusion
  • Education
  • Residential child care
  • Children’s hearings
