Royal Caledonian Education Trust has launched its first ever manifesto ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections in May, shaped by the voices of armed forces children and young people from across Scotland.

The children and young people spoke about the challenges that they can face, such as high levels of mobility and coping with parental deployment both of which can impact their education, and mental health and wellbeing.

RCET has worked with these children and young people to consider the action needed by the next Scottish Government to address these challenges. The manifesto is split into four themes:

  • Participation and Engagement,
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing,
  • Education and Learning
