In December, Children’s Parliament provided its input to the COVID Education Recovery Group, which leads the national response to the pandemic in the context of the school system. In a new blog post, it reflects on what recovery means from a rights-based perspective.

It points out that forums for children and young people to share their opinions is just one element of a rights-based approach – more is needed. This reflection is based on its How are you doing? survey series. This suggested that  “pre-pandemic some children were already left behind”. Adults - as duty-bearers - should adopt a rights-lens to analyse such problems and find adequate, long-term solutions.
