The survey seeks service providers’ input to help understand child poverty in Orkney and determine whether current out of school provision meets children and families’ needs.

The survey is open to all community groups and charities that currently provide out-of-school activities and/or food provisions for children, young people and their families. It is part of a project led by the Scottish Poverty and Inequality Research Unit, based at Glasgow Caledonian University, with funding from Scottish Government.

Ideally, the survey should be completed by November 2020. The Research Unit will then write a report on the findings, which will be published by the Scottish Government, and produce a database of the services identified.
