Nearly 70 organisations and individuals are calling for more support for families. While welcoming steps taken to date to protect incomes during the coronavirus, they say more needs to be done to meet children’s needs and ease financial pressures families are facing.

The letter to Rishi Sunak MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, calls for an increase in Child Benefit of £10 per child per week. The emergency support ensure all parents can cover basic costs of raising their children in the face of reduced income.
