Scottish Government is consulting on a draft Bill to reform the process by which trans people can obtain legal gender recognition.

The draft Bill proposes several changes to the current process for obtaining a Gender Recognition Certificate. The consultation also seeks views on whether the minimum age of applicants should be reduced from 18 to 16 and what support is needed for children who are uncertain of their gender identity.
