The document seeks to provide input to an OHCHR report on the theme “Realizing the rights of the child through a healthy environment”, to inform the Human Rights Council 2020 full-day meeting on the rights of the child.

The submission builds on the outcomes of the 2016 and 2018 Days of General Discussion of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, as well as findings from the Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment, other UN experts and members.
The submission has been coordinated by Child Rights Connect and supported by number of its members.
