The My Rights, My Say service supports children aged 12-15 with additional support needs to exercise their rights to be involved in decisions about their support in school.

The support offered by My Rights, My Say began in January 2018 with the introduction of extended rights under the Additional Support for Learning Act as part of the Education Act 2016.

The service is independent, confidential and supports children to speak up about what’s important to them at school, offers independent support to practitioners to gather children’s views and provides teaching resources and template letters to help children access their rights.
