The Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA) has published their 2018-19 Corporate Parenting plan which outlines how SCRA will work to improve their services and the experiences of children and young people in the Children's Hearings System.
The Plan lays out commitments that SCRA will take to further the six commitments they made in their 2017-2020 three year Corporate Parenting Plan. This includes actions such as:
- Making sure children and young people have information about their rights in easy to understand ways;
- Protecting and promoting the rights of children and young people in the Children's Hearing System;
- Focusing on the Year of Young People to make sure children's rights and needs are continually placed at the centre of SCRA's work.
- Read the plan here.
SCRA's Corporate Parenting plans are produced as part of their Corporate Parenting responsibilities. These responsibilities are laid out under Part 9 of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
