National Improvement Framework: Consultation on measuring the attainment gap and milestones towards closing it

Scottish Government are undertaking a consultation on proposals for measuring the attainment gap and milestones towards closing it.

They are seeking the views of practitioners and other professionals to ensure the measures that are chosen are appropriate and will provide a clear picture of progress across the education system. Scottish Government are committed to making demonstrable progress in closing the gap during the lifetime of this Parliament. This consultation will assist Ministers in understanding suitable measures of the attainment gap and the right milestones towards closing it.

After the consultation closes, Scottish Government will be publishing proposals as part of the 2018 Improvement Plan in December.
