A consultation seeking views on draft Statutory Guidance for parts 4, 5 and 18 of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act has been launched and responses are welcomed until 1st May 2015.

The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 received Royal Assent in March 2014 and the Scottish Government has released draft Statutory Guidance on the Act in relation to Named Person (Part 4), Child's Plan (Part 5) and wellbeing (Part 18, Section 96) provisions.

Revised guidance will be published a full year before the planned implementation of the Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) provisions in August 2016.
