A special global progress report has been published on universal prohibition of corporal punishment, including examples of how States can work collaboratively and highlighting research carried out.
Brazil has also been in the headlines relating to being the host country of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Child Rights International Network has published an article on the fulfillment of children's rights in Brazil more widely, including housing, freedom of expression and child sexual exploitation.
