Celebrating 50 years of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968

Social Work Scotland and the Scottish Government are hosting an event to launch a series of research papers marking 50 years of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968.

The event will have contributions from Maree Todd MSP, the Minister for Children and the Early Years, and Professor Brigid Daniel from Queen Margaret University. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend workshops on research findings from projects reflecting on 50 years of practice in areas such as personalisation, community social work, gender and justice, youth justice, adoption and responses to financial need.
