Call for Submissions to Scottish Government: The UK will be examined on its implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights by the Human Rights Committee in Geneva on 1-2 July this year.

In November 2014 the Committee published a list of issues of interest and the Scottish Government contributed to the UK response. The Scottish Government response which was submitted in January can be accessed here:

Trevor Owen will represent the Scottish Government in the UK delegation in Geneva in July. If you would like to discuss any of the issues covered in the Scottish Government response, please contact either Trevor or David Holmes, Human Rights & Equality Policy Officer.

In addition, the Human Rights Committee is open to receive submissions from civil society organisations until 5 June.
