Petition calls for National Guidance on restraint and seclusion in schools

The petition reflects concern of children with additional and complex needs being ill-treated due to a lack of guidance on restraint and seclusion in schools.

The Scottish Parliament petition which was lodged by parent Beth Morrison and highlights that currently there is no national policy guidance on this issue specifically for schools, and no agency responsible for monitoring the use of these behaviour management strategies in schools.

The petition will be live on the Scottish Government website until 17th February 2015.
