Rights of the Child UK submission to the Commission on a UK Bill of Rights

Category: General measures of implementation

23rd November 2011

The Commission on a Bill of Rights was established by the UK coalition government with a remit to investigate the creation of a UK Bill of Rights that "incorporates and builds on ... obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights, ensures that these rights continue to be enshrined in UK law, and protects and extend our liberties."

The Rights of the Child UK (ROCK) submitted a response to the consultation to reinforce the need to strengthen children's rights in any future bill of rights.
