Making rights real for children: Learning from South America

A series of conferences on children's rights is being offered by Professor Irene Rizzini, Director of the International Centre for Research and Policy on Childhood at PUC-Rio in Brazil.

Professor Rizzini will hold lectures across Scotland to discuss children's rights from a South American context. The lecture series is detailed below:

  • Thursday 5th October 2.00-3.30 University of Stirling, The Court Room - 'Reflections on children's rights in Brazil and South America'
  • Friday 27th October 3.30-5.00 Perth College, University of the Highlands and Islands - 'Children and the city - methodologies for listening to children'
  • Tuesday 14th November 4.30-6.00 University of Dundee, Dalhousie Building 3G02, Lecture Theatre 1 - 'Young People's Perceptions of Urban Violence in Brazil and Mexico'
